1. How to Enter the Contest:
a. You can submit your entry starting at 5:30pm on Thursday, May 15, 2008. All entries must be received by WXPN no later than 5pm on Thursday, May 22, 2008. All times are Eastern Time.
b. To participate in the contest, vote for songs by completing the Y-Rock On XPN Weekly Eleven Contest form online at YRockOnXPN.org. All entries must include your first and last name, email address, telephone number and all other requested information on the voting page.
c. WXPN is not responsible for a submission that is lost, undelivered or misdirected, or for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
d. From all entries, one entry and five alternates will be chosen at random and the first selected eligible contestant will be announced as the prize winner on the air on May 22, 2008. The prize winner will also be notified by phone, mail or email.
2. Eligibility Restrictions
The contest is open to adults (18 years or older). Employees of WXPN, its contest sponsors, volunteer staff members managing the contest, and the members of their households are ineligible to participate in the contest or win. One entry per person.
3. The Prize:
a. The Prize will include two tickets for M.I.A. on June 5, 2008 at The 33rd Street Armory in Philadelphia, PA. The Prize has a total estimated retail value of $52.00.
b. The prize may be picked up at the office of WXPN, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA during business hours.
4. Selection of Winners:
a. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. One entry and five alternates will be selected at random from all entries received or postmarked by the deadline, and the first selected eligible contestant will be announced as the prize winner on May 22, 2008.
c. Winner needs not listen or be present to win. WXPN will contact the winner. If a prize winner does not claim the prize within three business day after the winners are announced, that contestant will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected in order from the alternate entries drawn.
5. Conditions:
a. Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to have his or her name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize. The winners must also sign a prize receipt and certify compliance with all eligibility requirements prior to release of the prize.
c. WXPN, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the WXPN Web Site(s) or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.
6. Right to Make Changes
WXPN reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
7. No Purchase Required
No purchase or donation is necessary.
8. Responsibilities
WXPN is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
9. Copies of the Contest Rules
Copies of the written contest rules will be available up to 30 days after the end of the contest at www.YRockOnXPN.org. You may also receive the rules by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Y-Rock On XPN Weekly Eleven Contest Rules, Attn: Josh T. Landow, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19104.
